Terms of Service
Legacy Letters Limited (Company No. 16550220, England & Wales) provides personal letter writing and document support services to individuals. By placing an order through our contact form or by email, you agree to these terms.
What we do — and what we do not do
Our services are document preparation & administrative support only; not legal advice. We draft, structure and polish letters and statements on your instructions. We are a letter drafting service, not a law firm, and nothing on this site or in our correspondence constitutes legal advice or creates a solicitor-client relationship. If you need legal advice, please consult a qualified solicitor.
Letters we prepare
Common requests include tenancy reference requests, tenant repair letters, character references, complaint letters, refund and billing dispute letters, cover letters, cancellation letters and formal statements. If your document is a letter or statement for personal or administrative use, ask us — we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
Orders, pricing and payment
Standard packages are £50 (one letter, delivered within 3 business days), £125 (up to three documents with two revision rounds, within 5 business days) and £200 (complete document support for one matter). Every engagement begins with a free consultation; you confirm the package before any payment is taken.
Revisions
The Essential Letter includes one revision round; the Standard Pack and Complete Support include two. Further revisions can be arranged at a fixed fee agreed in advance.
Delivery
Finished documents are delivered by email as a print-ready PDF and an editable file within the stated timeframe, typically 3–5 business days from a complete brief. Urgent turnarounds may be possible by arrangement.
Cancellation & refunds
You may cancel within 24 hours of ordering for a full refund, provided drafting has not started. Once your writer has begun the brief, we deduct time already spent at an hourly rate agreed in your confirmation email and refund the balance. If we have delivered a first draft, cancellation is limited to exceptional cases such as illness or bereavement, judged fairly and case by case. Where a delivered document contains errors we introduced — factual, typographical or structural — we will correct them free of charge or refund the affected portion in full, at your choice. Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5 business days of approval.
Confidentiality
Your brief, documents and personal circumstances are treated as confidential, shared only with the writer assigned to your project and retained only as described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers also keep any statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
